Where is the Winter Crop House, and why can't I find the address
on your website?
The Winter Crop House is located centrally in Anne Arundel County in
Annapolis. We do not publish the address for the privacy and security of
our guests. If you will be visiting the Winter Crop House, we will provide
you with directions. The house sits on 3 acres of wooded privacy.
Why does the winter crop house only offer winter time crops?
The home is used the rest of the year by the Naval academy alumni and
families due to its close proximity to downtown Annapolis, the Naval
Academy and the Navy Football Stadium.
What is the difference between a hosted and private weekend?
A hosted weekend is what we call our "Meet some new friends Crop."
We provide food, classes, and do all the prep and cleanup for you.
Participants register on an individual basis.
A private weekend is for a group of friends who would like to have the
home to themselves. We will mark the weekend you selected as
"RESERVED" once we receive your deposit.
Are there any restrictions to the WInter Crop House?
No pets and No smoking. Also, please don't get too loud. If there are
any complaints from the neighbors, we have the right to ask you to leave
and we require an age minimum of 15.
What is the bedroom and bathroom arrangement?
As you register, you select your room preference based on availability.
Additionally, all linens, pillows, blankets and towels are provided for you.
What scrapbooking tools are available?
Our tool center includes two Sizzix machines and LOTS of alphabets,
(please see our "EVENTS" webpage which lists our tool table.items)
What kitchen equipment is available?
The Winter Crop House kitchen is set up to make group events easier.
Besides the refrigerator and oven/range, there is a microwave, toaster,
coffeemaker, blender, etc. Food preparation implements, such as pans,
casseroles, bowls, & silverware are also provided. Trash bags, dish
soap, toilet paper, etc will be provided. Please note we provide plenty of
food and sundries and if you use them up quickly, you can easily run out
to many nearby local stores to replenish your supplies on your own.
What do we do for dinner?
You can bring any food or beverages of your choice and feel free to
cook OR dine/order out at one of the local restaurants or eateries OR
even have delivered. We suggest at least one night in downtown
Annapolis for some fine seafood dining. You will find numerous fliers and
menus for local eateries in the house.
What if there is a big snowstorm and I can't get there?
If it is a winter storm and the major roads are closed, we will refund your
money. There is a snow plow that is contracted to come and plow the
driveway for the Winter Crop House while the city of Annapolis will be
plowing the public roads in the area.
What is your cancellation policy?
Requests for refunds will be honored 30 days prior to the event less the
$50.00 deposit fee for each individual attending. No refunds will be
given within 30 days of the event unless we can fill your spot and then
we refund all your money minus a $25 processing fee per person.
Is this a scrapbook store? What scrapbook stores are near the
Winter Crop House?
We are not a scrapbook store, but a company dedicated to providing
weekend getaways for scrapbookers. We provide groups with a
weekend location at the Winter Crop House, as well as offering full
retreat packages in Ocean City and Annapolis.
Our central location puts us within 5 to 25 minutes of several scrapbook
stores, besides being under 3 miles away from Michael's, we have
stores surrounding us in all directions:
* Great Scraps (Millersville)
* Scrapbooks Forever (Deale)
* Scrapbookers Closet (Pasadena)
Returned check fee:
If your check is returned for non-sufficient funds, there will be a $35
return check fee. The amount of check and fee must be paid by credit
card or money order immediately following the bank notification.

croppers at a per-person package rate of $250. The hosted weekend
includes lodging, a refrigerator full of breakfast and lunch items, Friday
or Saturday night home cooked dinner and a LONG weekend to catch up
on your scrapbooking! $75 deposit required to reserve your individual
space with the remaining balance due two months prior to attendance.
PRIVATE WEEKENDS-2009 Rates
You can also request a private weekend (FRILLS or No FRILLS) for you
and your friends for Thursday 3pm through Sunday 12pm for a flat fee.
For $1500 you can have the house to yourselves with No Frills of No
hostessing nor food provided.....just bring your own food and cook or
order in or go out. OR for $1600, we will provide a refrigerator and
pantry full of breakfast and lunch items and snacks and drinks(dinner is
still on your own). In either case, we will meet and greet you and give
you a tour of this wonderful luxurious retreat home and then it will be a
super long weekend of privacy and fun with your cropping buddies! In
order to accommodate cropping space, sleeping arrangements, and
parking a maximum of 10 ladies is highly recommended. A $500 deposit
is required to reserve a private party weekend and the balance is due 2
months prior to your selected date.
